Logistics, originally meaning "physical distribution" or "goods distribution," is a part of supply chain activities that plan, implement, and control the efficient and low-cost flow and storage of goods, service consumption, and related information from the origin to the consumption location to meet customer needs. Logistics is centered around warehousing, promoting production and market synchronization. Logistics is the entire process of planning, implementing, and managing raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products, and related information from the place of origin to the place of consumption of goods, through transportation, storage, and distribution at the lowest cost to meet the needs of customers.
